FIGHT OFF COLD AND CATARRH WITH THESE FOUR DRINKS

 

Mutant flu virus responsible for  spreading and infecting everyone with cold and catarrh making people  all uncomfortable especially during dry season.
Rest and rehydrating from loss of fluids is the best way to recover from this dis comfortable state . In all, there is a need for you to give your overworked stomach and intestines a break and clearly liquids give them the rest they need.

Do your best to avoid liquids that are acidic (such as orange juice) or caffeinated (such as coffee), or anything that has a lot of carbonation. A number of drinks are best taken when you have cold and catarrh and eating immune-boosting foods will also significantly help you fight it off.

As such, if tea isn’t a part of your diet already, you germaphobes, you should get on it. Thanks to the abundance of antioxidant compounds like theanine and flavonoids and other compounds like catechins which fights free radicals in the body, black tea has been proven to fight off the flu.

Ginger Tea

Ginger can be referred to as a superfood that not only has antibiotics properties but also has the ability to keep cold and catarrh at bay. A lot of people reach for a ginger ale when tummy troubles come about, and we can see why. Ginger has been a part of Chinese herbal medicine for more than 2,000 years to relieve digestion problems and nausea.

Furthermore, ginger can help to detoxify the body by inducing sweating, which can help to get rid of the body’s toxins. And ginger’s analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties relieve aches and pains that come with the flu.

The good thing is that ginger tea is simple to make. You can simply add two tablespoons of ground ginger or ginger root to a cup of boiling water. You can also combine them with honey and lemon, and other ginger flu-fighting concoction to make your smoothies or buy a pre-made one.
