There are simple best ways that you can actually make use of to safely relieve yourself from stress and anxiety that you may be going through.

Recently I visited a family, myself and a group of people were there to see the family but we were only able to see the wife,after we have done with what we went there for,in my own remark ,because i discovered that her commitment and that of her husband was not good towards our meetings,I spoke to encourage her,by the time she was to speak, she said 24hrs a day are not enough for her anymore, she said this because of how busy she is ,too much to do every day that 24hrs not enough to finish all to be done for her each day.

Since I knew this family, I can not say I know the husband until lately that she introduced her husband to me when I saw him,the reason is that the husband is also very busy.

This family is a typical example of so many individuals and families having similar experience and some are even more,that is why issue  of stress has become a common experience to many and there is a need to relieve ourselves from stress because the consequences of stress when we didn't relieve ourselves from it are dangerous to our health ,relationships ,work and family, stress if not relieved affects every areas of our life.

Actually, in this 21st century, stress has become what you can not totally run away from,our daily activities keep increasing ,you have deadlines of job to meet up with,domestic works highly demanding especially if you are a working mother and you have your children to take care of ,the demands of husband,sometimes 24hrs are no longer enough.In some developed such as  America, many people work in 2 or more places in a day, some don't even have the time to rest ,working even àll through the night.All these contribute to stress and we must do something to relieve ourselves from it.

   What are stress and anxiety?


We can simply define stress as when situations around you begin to task or place a demand on your central nervous system especially your brain , when you begin to react to those situations that are confronting you in one way or the other, that is anxiety.

Why should you relieve yourself of stress and anxiety?
When stress and anxiety continue without  relieve or adequate  management ,you can have ;

1) Health problems such as hypertension, stroke,heart palpitation or chest pain,headache , sleep lost, skin rashes e.t.c.

2) It can affect your productivity at work by becoming  less productive ,you may not be able to give your best to work anymore because stress has overwhelmed  you, you soon become prone to mistakes because of lack of concentration  and you can even harm yourself.

3) Your relationship and family life may become affected,you can become tense up and  touchy ,easily pick up offense.

TAKE  TIME OUT WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY

Are you feeling stressed or anxious ,reports show that going out with friends and family helps to relieve stress and anxiety, don't continue to suffer yourself with stress,aftermath of it can be harmful to you.Getting social support from friends when you are in difficult situations can help you through stressful times, report shows that people with little to non social connection can easily suffer from depression and anxiety.

According to reports,women benefits more when they take time out with children and friends to relieve themselves from stress ,research reveals that a particular hormone known as oxytocin is being released which helps in the relieve of stress ,this causes what is known as "tend and befriend" effect which is the opposite of "fight or flight" effect.


LEARN TO LAUGH DEEPLY AND RELIEVING

Laughter does wonders to the body,whatever the burden you have,it lightens it mentally, that is why people say " laugh away your sorrow".Apart from this,it reduces the stress hormone called cortisol and in turn boost feel good chemical known as endorphins in the brain,this helps your mood.

Are you feeling stressed ,you can get yourself relieved by getting this kind of laughter by reading comics story ,videos on comedy, get to chat with that your friend that makes you smile,no dull moments friends.

    EXERCISE YOUR BODY REGULAR

If you experience stress I advise you to confront your mental stress with physical stress (exercise ) you will be surprised the kind of relieve you will have.It will give you better result when you are consistent with the exercise ,for your information, people who exercise their body regular  hardly suffer from anxiety compare to those who don't do it

How does exercise relieve you from stress and anxiety?

During exercise, especially when you are consistent with it,exercise causes the reduction of production of stress hormones such as cortisol and increases the production of a chemical known as endorphins which helps your mood and at the same time kill pains naturally.

When you engage yourself in exercise regularly, it helps you to sleep soundly in which stress  and anxiety can affect your sleep negatively, some people find it difficult to sleep  when they are stressed but with regular exercise this is corrected .Get yourself on field or on track,find the exercise you enjoy doing or visit the physiotherapists to prescribe appropriate exercise that will not only relieve you of stress but also improve your general health condition.

TAKE SUPPLEMENTS

Some supplements have been found to help in relieving stress and anxiety, example of these supplements are ;

Green tea which has antioxidant property and it increases the production of serotonin which is capable of relieving stress and anxiety.

Valerian root helps to improve the quality of sleep which in turn relieve anxiety.

If you actually love yourself irrespective of who is giving you that extra work to do,learn to say no whenever you know that if you go ahead with the new task, you may crash and result in loading yourself with stress.

Understand yourself and body,know when to say yes or no to responsibilities that you know it will affect you and result into stress , don't feel intimidated to say no,remember that if you bite more than what you can chew ,the consequence may be great.


DON'T PROCRASTINATE

Whatever you have got to do ,begin to do it,get to write your schedule down and follow your to-do-list.Don't jump one or two through procrastination.When you procrastinate ,you are adding to the future appointment or works to be done in which some of these future works may come unannounced.Before you know it,many things to do at a time ,this can increase anxiety and stress in you when there are many deadlines to meet up with.

GET A PET IF YOU LOVE ONE

Having a pet and spending sometimes with it can actually relieve you of stress and help your mood,according to a report, dog owners are likely to have lower stress level compare to non dog owners.

Playing with pets may help in releasing oxytocin, a brain chemical that help you to have a positive mood.

IF MARRIED GET CUDDLED

If you are married and you are experiencing stress ,one of the ways to relieve yourself to get cuddled by your partner, feel the touch ,hug,kiss and get it done ,I mean enjoy yourself in bed.It has been shown that sex act causes the release of oxytocin that put you in "feel good mood"and  reduce the production of cortisol which is known as stress hormone.This helps in lowering the blood pressure and heart rate which are symptoms of stress.


GRATEFUL HEART

Being grateful helps you to come out of your anxiety and relieve you of your stress, get a note and constantly write down beautiful moments of your life,celebrate your achievements, keep good records of these things and always referring to them whenever difficult situations that is tending towards anxiety and stress are coming in you.
