EASY BUT EFFECTIVE WAY TO CONTROL YOUR ANGER

Knowing how to manage your anger in an effective way is a great advantage.Anger is normal to every human being and it can be said to be healthy and human emotions.When anger becomes destructive and uncontrollable and   begins to have negative impact on your life, health ,relationship and work ,then something must be done ,it needs urgent attention for effective management.

A story was told about a man that I know very well,the man has 2 wives at home where he is living ,on one fateful day,this man brought another woman to the house and one of the wives saw them,this wife was not happy and reacted to them.When the husband saw her reaction, the husband was soo angry and threw a stick at his wife according to what I was told and the stick landed on her leg,this caused a serious injury to this wife that the husband had to take her to hospital where she spent weeks there ,the husband had to leave home to go and take care of his wife because the treatment was done in another far away state.This  incident is a typical example of what anger can cause.Due to anger ,many things have been destroyed, life wasted and property destroyed.

If a person  does not learn how to manage his or her anger,such individual is a very dangerous person and you must be very careful how you relate with such person because you may fall victim of his or her anger,who knows?

   HERE ARE SOME EFFECTIVE WAYS TO MANAGE YOUR ANGER

SEEK SOLUTION FOR THE CAUSES OF ANGER
If you are the type that certain things repeatedly cause you to be angry ,I want to suggest that you think about how to solve those problems before it will result into anger .For example ,if you are the type that always want your bedroom neat and clean and you discover that whenever your children enter your bedroom,it will be turned upside down and everywhere scattered and dirty,whenever it happens like this you become mad with them and with everyone at home at that moment to the extent of beating them mercilessly out of your anger.


To safe yourself from this kind of situation that brings about your uncontrollable anger,why don't you always lock your bedroom and hold the key and never  allow them to have access to it again,doing this will prevent them from entering your bedroom and dirty it,hence no more anger.Please begin to look inward and begin to search those things that can prevent you from angry and begin to do them. Following this approach can actually make you to effectively manage and control your anger .

SLOW TO SPEAK

If you learn how to slow to speak ,you will avoid regret that comes after you have voiced your anger with a lots of many words that can not be retrieved.In mine dialect, there is an adage that says "voice is an egg ,when it falls down and scatters, you cannot retrieve it back the way it was".Hence ,whenever you are angry ,be calm ,don't be hasty in voicing your anger,allow some times to pass,by then your brain will have been able to process what you want to say that you will not regret later.


If you are angry ,it's easier to find yourself speaking first before thinking, anyone that speaks before thinking is a fool,don't be a fool ,calm your nerves down before you speak.Words spoken in anger can land you in trouble, be careful.

  TAKE NOTE OF ANGER WARNING SIGNS

Before you finally explode in anger,there are warning signs that you will first notice,don't ignore those warning signs but rather explore them to help you quickly stop or know what to do to control the anger before materialising to what you may regret later.These signs may be different from one person to another ,just know or note the warning signs that are peculiar to you.


* When you feel a knots in your stomach

* When you start clenching your hands or jaw

* You just starts feeling clammy or flushed

* Suddenly you start breathing faster

* You just starts havind headaches Pacing or needing to walk around

* "Seeing red"

* When you can no longer concentrate

* Your heart starts pounding

These are some of the early signs of anger ,use them to control your anger as soon as possible.

LOOK FOR BETTER WAYS TO EXPRESS YOUR ANGER

Assuming you just have to express your anger,you don't have to go to the extent of doing what you will regret later,there are things you can decide to do to express your anger,you can decide to walk away from the scene if you know if you stay too long you may act weird or injurious.Quickly turn off from the person,listen to music, just find your way to nearest gym,etc.


LEARN  HOW TO INTERRUPT THE CYCLE OF ANGER

Anger has a cycle ,when it starts ,it goes on gradually until it finally comes to point where you will want to act,before you act in response to the anger that is building up within you,you can actually interrupt the cycle through these techniques. You can take a deep breath ,you can make a count to 20,switch on your mind to think positively instead of negative things that can aggravate your anger.
When you engage yourself with these techniques, you will break the cycle of anger,you will be able to control that anger.

CONTROL THROUGH EXERCISE


Many people who get angry easily is as a result of stress and anxiety, example of this can be seen in people who are tensed up, unable to meet up with deadlines at work ,such people get easily irritated because of stress.If you noticed that stress is always the  cause of your anger,learn how to manage your stress,one of the ways to manage stress is exercise,you can enrol at gym,take a walk,run or swim.Let exercise become part of your daily activities ,its good for you.When stress is well managed, anger will disappear.


IF YOU CANNOT STILL HANDLE IT,SEEK PROFESSIONAL ASSISTANCE
Sometimes it's possible that after you have done all you can to control your anger and still you are still unable to control it,don't hesitate to seek professional therapist  that has  registered with organisation like British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy  or your own local national regulatory body.They will be able to guard you through ,please do this as soon as possible to avoid the dangers that are associated with anger which can affect your life and everything around.
